MassageMy interest in massage began in 2004 through a lower back injury I was suffering from at the time. I discovered the healing power of touch through massage & I was addicted right away. My approach to each massage session is to create balance, space and validation for the client on my table. I enjoy tailoring each session to best suit my client's needs, so each session may incorporate a bit of each modality in my arsenal. The field of Wellness & Health has become a suprising fascination for me & I find myself constantly seeking to learn more. I am interested in studying Reiki, Hot Stone massage, Watsu, Pre-Natal, continuing with Structural Integration, Cranial Sacral, Trigger Point Therapy, and others. I recommend massage to people who have stress in their lives, as well as people who have had recent or long-standing injuries. If you sit at a desk all day, you need regular massage. "Computer shoulders" can lead to mid-back injuries & tension headaches. Low-back injuries can lead to immobility & loss of employment due to disability. The results of regular massage (i.e. twice a month for at least two months) are dramatic & life changing. No one should have to live in pain, that's not a quality life to lead. Lower stress levels extend your life by not putting as much strain on your heart & body in general. Being a Dancer & a Martial Artist myself, the operation of the human body fascinates me. I thoroughly enjoy working with people who are very athletic, active & need regular massage to increase the benefits they receive from their training. Massage is a wonderful tool for bringing balance to the body, mind & spirit. Remember To Be Good To Yourself! |
